Year 4- St Andrew
The teachers in Saint Andrew's class are Mrs Fairless, Miss Millar and Mrs Callaghan. On a Thursday morning Mrs Farrer teachers us.
Our P.E day is Tuesday
Our forest school day is Thursday.
Our class text this half term is The Borrowers by Mary Norton. We read this text together and the children answer comprehension questions based on each chapter. Questions are based on vocabulary, inference, prediction, explain, retrieve and summarise otherwise known as VIPERS.
Medium Term Plan
Year 4 Homework
- Reading-Children should read at home on a daily basis, please encourage your child to do this.
- Spellings-the children have a weekly spelling test every Friday. As a school we use Spelling shed resources both during lessons in school and as homework.
- Maths homework always consolidates learning in class that week. The children should independently be able to complete this homework.
- R.E homework is once every half term.
Home work club is every Tuesday lunchtime. If children want to attend they can giving them the opportunity to complete their homework at school rather than at home.
Multiplication club is every Wednesday lunchtime. Children can play on Rockstars multiplication game to test their knowledge on the times tables.
